The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality plans to develop technical assistance and support for Medicaid providers who struggle to meet meaningful use requirements, according to a Government Health IT news report.
In order to develop its recommendations, AHRQ will survey 300 Medicaid healthcare providers to better understand the challenges they face when adopting and using electronic health records. The study, which will span over a two-year period, will also help guide development of stage 2 and 3 meaningful use requirements.
