Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare has added eight more of its California hospitals to Manifest MedEx, the state's nonprofit health data network, which facilitates the flow of medical information between hospitals, health plans and providers.
The new additions to the network, which join seven previously added Prime hospitals, are Alvarado Hospital Medical Center in San Diego; Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center; West Anaheim Medical Center; Huntington Beach Hospital; La Palma Intercommunity Hospital; Paradise Valley Hospital in National City; Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood; and Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding.
Those eight hospitals joined via the network's incentive program, through which qualifying hospitals receive $60,000 for choosing Manifest MedEx as their health information exchange partner within California's statewide onboarding program.
"Each hospital that joins the network benefits from comprehensive, real-time information about patients, helping their providers make critical decisions about treatment when it matters most," said Claudia Williams, CEO of Manifest MedEx. "Manifest MedEx is now exchanging health information for nearly 40 percent of all Californians."
