Five health systems in San Antonio have begun connecting to the region's health information exchange, set to go live in early 2014, according to an Express-News report.
The participating systems are Baptist Health System, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System, Nix Health, Methodist Healthcare and University Health System, all based in San Antonio, according to the report.
With these systems connected, the HIE will have access to more than 600,000 patients' records, according to the report.
