1. Welltok closed its most recent round of funding of $37 million, bringing its 2014 funding total to $59 million.
2. Healthcare startup company par8o raised $10.5 million in Series A funding from investors including Atlas Venture, Founder Collective and CHV Capital.
3. Chicago-based health startup Apervita raised $18 million to establish an app store for hospitals, physicians and researchers.
4. Caremerge, a communication and care coordination platform for senior healthcare, raised $4 million in its first institutional financing round.
5. San Francisco-based First Opinion, a mobile app that connects patients to practicing physicians via text, raised $6 million in Series A funding in December to expand its physician network and grow its infrastructure.
