The post-COVID-19 rise in digital health has given health system leaders new opportunities in health IT outside the hospital.
Here are five former health system leaders who have joined digital healthcare companies:
- John Noseworthy, MD, the former CEO of Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic was named executive chair of Caire, a virtual care consortium set up by Northwell Holdings and Aegis Ventures.
- Andrea Daugherty, the former CIO of Dell Medical School at the University of Texas Austin and IT leader at Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare, was named the head of digital health at IT company SHI International.
- Ray Gensinger, MD, the former CIO of Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health Systems, joined medtech company Tegria as senior vice president and chief medical officer.
- Rose Higgins, BSN, RN, a former nurse at Pittsburgh-based UPMC, was named CEO of Dr.Evidence, a medical intelligence platform for life sciences companies.
- Neil Gomes, the former digital chief of Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health and Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health, joined managed care organization AmeriHealth Caritas.
