CentraCare Health System, based in St. Cloud, Minn., reported a net profit of $51 million in fiscal year 2011, and its operating margin improved to nearly 6 percent, according to a St. Cloud Times report.
The health system's revenue in 2011 was $843 million, roughly 6 percent higher than 2010, according to the report. CentraCare's net assets also grew 32 percent, increasing from $417 million in 2010 to $553 million in 2011.
CentraCare plans to reinvest into its system next spring with a $225-million expansion to St. Cloud (Minn.) Hospital.
