HHS Green Lights 3 More States' Health Insurance Exchange Plans

Today, HHS conditionally approved Delaware, Minnesota and Rhode Island to move forward with their proposed plans for statewide health insurance exchanges, a key feature of the health reform law.

Delaware is the first state to be conditionally approved for a state-federal partnership exchange that will share design and operation responsibilities with the federal government. Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa and North Carolina also applied to partner with the feds on their exchanges.

Minnesota and Rhode Island will have full control over their exchanges.
