Monroe County Hospital is dropping Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, Ga., as its management company and will contract with Aletheia Health Partners beginning in November, according to the Monroe County Reporter.
On Aug. 31, the Forsyth, Ga.-based hospital authority voted unanimously to sunset its seven-year management agreement with Atrium, but extended the contract through October for the purpose of continuity, according to the report.
Watkinsville, Ga.-based Aletheia.will begin managing the hospital on Nov. 1.
Atrium Health Navicent is part of Charlotte, N.C.-based Advocate Health, a 67-hospital system formed in December after Atrium Health merged with Milwaukee and Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Aurora Health. In 2019, Navicent Health combined with Atrium Health, according to its website.
