Fitch Ratings affirmed its "BB+" rating on Philadelphia-based Temple University Health System. Concurrently, the credit agency assigned its "BB+" issuer default rating to the health system.
The affirmation and assignment are based on several factors, including the health system's weak operating performance, modest liquidity profile, challenging service area and unfavorable payer mix. Fitch favorably viewed the health system's manageable capital expenditure requirements.
The outlook is stable.
