New York health system to use USDA grant to integrate Epic EHR into emergency response system

Potsdam, N.Y.-based St. Lawrence Health is using part of a $10 million USDA grant to integrate its Epic EHR with its emergency response services, Watertown Daily Times reported Dec. 24.

During the three-year integration process, St. Lawrence will make its Epic EHR system available to emergency responders by creating an inter-facility transportation coordination center.

The health system gained access to the Epic EHR system, which went live in April, through its partnership with Rochester (N.Y.) Regional Health.
