HHS, Instacart partner

Instacart has partnered with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to expand access to nutritious food and resources for improved health.

The collaboration aims to support and broaden initiatives that view food as a form of medicine, employing programs, research, outreach and policies to enhance health outcomes and equity across the U.S., according to a Jan. 31 news release from Instacart.

The objective of the partnership is to inform the public about the healing properties of food, deepen comprehension of intervention strategies and create scalable methods to extend the impact of successful food-as-medicine initiatives to a wider population.
