Apple is expected to launch an iPhone journaling app aimed at improving users' mental and physical health, The Wall Street Journal reported April 21.
The app, which could be officially announced as early as June, would allow users to record their daily activities and thoughts, according to documents viewed by the newspaper. It would analyze their behavior to determine their typical day, with how much time they spend at home vs. elsewhere, and identify days that are outside the norm. It would mix in data from text messages and phone calls.
Other features would suggest topics to write about, like workouts, and include "All Day People Discovery" to detect the user's physical proximity to others, distinguishing between colleagues and friends from outside their jobs, the news outlet reported. It is set to work with Apple's coming iOS 17 operating system.
