Duluth, Minn.-based St. Luke's and Lake View Hospital in Two Harbors, Minn., have rebranded as Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital and Aspirus Lakeview Hospital.
Their clinics names have also changed to include Aspirus after merging with the Wausau, Wis.-based health system in March.
"We now have access to expanded resources and support, allowing us to further invest in care models and services that are vital to providing great care in more rural areas," Aspirus Lake View President Greg Ruberg said in a June 4 news release. "We are excited about this new chapter and are looking forward to continuing to serve our patients as part of the Aspirus family."
The newly combined system includes 19 hospitals, 130 outpatient locations and has 1,300 employed physicians and advanced practice providers across northeastern Minnesota, northern and central Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
"This is a major step forward for our communities," Nick Van Deelen, MD, senior vice president, Minnesota region president, and chief medical officer of Aspirus, said. "We are proud to officially add Aspirus to our names and continue caring for our community as part of this incredible system."
