Adstream, provider of advertising technology and services, and the largest ad delivery network in the world, announced Dec. 9 it has achieved third-party certification for HIPAA compliance.
With Compliancy Group's HIPAA Seal of Compliance, the London-based company will be able to better manage healthcare organizations' marketing efforts that depend on the use of protected health information for targeted outreach. Compliancy Group's six-stage implementation program ensures participants comply with the HIPAA Privacy Rule, HIPAA Security Rule, HIPAA Breach Notification Rule, HIPAA Omnibus Rule and HITECH.
"Adstream's goal to become HIPAA compliant has now been achieved and will allow us to expand our work within the healthcare industry and assist more clients that might handle PHI as part of a health and wellness business," Mark Smith, Adstream North America's general manager for sales, said in a news release. "Now, U.S. healthcare institutions can store advertisements and related creative assets and data in Adstream and be assured of patient safety and security."
Adstream provides users with digital asset management, traffic management, media automation, data analytics and asset delivery all in one cloud-based ad management platform, currently used by more than 100,000 businesses globally.
