Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic is launching a new podcast in partnership with a public radio network.
"Tomorrow's Cure" debuts June 26 with a new episode appearing on major podcast platforms each Wednesday. The podcast is a collaboration with PRX, one of the largest podcast distributors, and will be hosted by Minnesota public radio broadcaster Cathy Wurzer.
"This is an exciting new initiative for Mayo Clinic," said Molly Biwer, chair of brand strategy at Mayo Clinic, in a June 20 statement. "'Tomorrow's Cure' will explore the cutting-edge research, technology and breakthroughs that are revolutionizing the future of medicine. We are excited to showcase the physicians, clinicians, researchers and thought leaders driving these transformative advancements."
The first, eight-episode season will explore such topics as artificial intelligence, mixed reality, personalized medicine and 3D printing, with seasons two and three set for 2025. Guests will include clinical and innovation leaders from Mayo Clinic and other health systems.
