Vibrent Health, a precision medicine startup that works with health systems, has let go of 13 percent of its workforce, Washington Business Journal reported.
The company laid off about 30 people from its staff of approximately 230 employees, according to the Feb. 23 story. The reductions are the first since Vibrent Health launched in 2009.
The job cuts included custom software development, which may have been overstaffed at the company, the news outlet reported.
Vibrent Health has partnered on precision medicine projects with health systems including New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System and Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical System, as well as the National Institutes of Health.
