OSF OnCall, the digital health arm of Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare, is launching a no-cost digital monitoring program for respiratory syncytial virus.
The program is available 24/7 for patients with a positive RSV test or diagnosis in Michigan and Illinois. In the first week of the program, more than 70 parents have enrolled newborns and children up to the age of 5, according to a Dec. 12 OSF news release.
The software provides educational prompts and ways to report relevant symptoms for 10 days. Hospital officials aim for the program to help with the lack of pediatric intensive care unit beds.
