Nurse staffing platform ConnectRN has laid off 20 percent of its staff, BostInno reported July 6.
The move would reduce the startup's workforce from 283 employees to about 226, according to the story. The company, which offers an app to connect nurses with flexible shifts, expanded to hospitals in April, kicking off in Florida and Tennessee.
"Last week, we led the company through a restructuring that we believe will set us up for success as we enter Q3," a ConnectRN spokesperson told the news outlet. "Like many health tech companies in our space, taking steps toward sustainable growth post-COVID is what we are focused on."
