Despite the digital revolution that took over many traditional industries, healthcare hasn't experienced such a change, with many services still remaining slow and complicated. However, digital health still holds promise if it is approached through a lens of inclusivity and personalization, according to a May 31 Fast Company article.
To be truly transformational to the healthcare industry, digital health shouldn't just focus on artificial intelligence but on clinical expert guidance that takes into account social determinants of health. This should also be set within a marketplace that gathers all the different types of healthcare players in one place and gives consumers the choice between them.
"The marketplace model and its promise of clarity, inclusivity, and personalization provides these solutions, but it is up to us to see this vision through," it reads.
