Intel Capital pitched in $20 million to the series D financing round for digital health company Biofourmis.
The additional capital from Intel brings the total amount raised by Biofourmis to $320 million. Biofourmis plans to use the funding to scale up its virtual home healthcare offerings, according to the company's Aug. 10 news release.
The initial series D funding was led by General Atlantic.
"To receive this additional funding from the venture capital arm of a global technology giant during an unpredictable time in digital health investment is further validation of Biofourmis' market strength and potential and validates that we are distinguishing ourselves in the market," Biofourmis CEO and founder Kuldeep Singh Rajput said. "We are on a strong trajectory for continued strategic growth in the coming years in terms of customers, partners and solution development."
