The digital health market is constantly changing, with new startups coming onto the scene and more established companies restructuring their strategies.
Companies that had a good week:
- Epic: The EHR giant was fully integrated into Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health’s Cedar payment system. Ochsner Health in New Orleans is also using an Epic app for personalized cancer treatment within its EHR system.
- General Catalyst: General Catalyst partnered with York, Pa.-based Wellspan Health to work on digital health innovation.
- Maximus: Maximus was awarded a $6.6 billion contract from CMS to continue operating its contact center operations.
- Theranica: The digital wearable therapeutics company raised $45 million to expand its corporate reach in America.
Companies that had a bad week:
- Wheel: The digital health platform laid off 35 employees, or 17 percent, of its staff.
- GoodRx: GoodRx laid off 140 employees, or 16 percent, of its staff.
