Digital health funding down 14% in Q3

Investment in digital health experienced a 14% decrease, declining from $3.5 billion in Q2 of 2023 to $3 billion in Q3, according to an Oct. 26 report from CB Insights. 

This represented the lowest quarterly funding level for digital health since 2016, according to the report. 

Here are three things to know about digital health funding in Q3:

  1. Digital health deals saw a 33% decline.
     
  2. General Catalyst and Samsung Next were the biggest digital health funders in Q3.

  3. Digital health funding in the U.S. declined by 14%, but despite this, the U.S. saw the majority of global digital health funding in Q3.
