Hospitals and health systems continue to roll out hospital-at-home programs to treat acute care patients in their homes.
Here are 10 health systems that have grown their hospital-at-home offerings in the past six months, according to Becker's reporting:
1. Gainesville, Fla.-based UF Health unveiled acute hospital care at home in November.
2. St. Louis-based SSM Health rolled out hospital at home in November in Wisconsin.
3. Fort Myers, Fla.-based Lee Health said in November it is preparing to launch acute hospital care at home.
4. Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham has expanded its Home Hospital to include veterans at a homeless shelter and emergency care, and is testing out drones for delivery of medications and supplies.
5. Cleveland Clinic expanded its Care at Home program in October to Weston (Fla.) Hospital, a 258-bed nonprofit facility.
6. Richmond, Va.-based VCU Health has been growing the technology and payer mix of acute hospital care at home since unveiling the care model in 2023, a leader told Becker's in September.
7. Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health started focusing on expanding its hospital-at-home program in August after its official launch in March.
8. Rockledge, Fla.-based Health First said in June it is planning rapid growth of acute hospital care at home after treating its 1,000th patient at home.
9. Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health expanded its hospital-at-home program in June with at-home care company Medically Home after a successful pilot.
10. Orlando (Fla.) Health Hospital Care at Home started accepting commercial payers in June.
