6 health systems entering new digital health partnerships

Hospitals and health systems across the country are looking to implement new digital health technology that has the potential to improve care and reduce administrative burden. Here are six health systems that entered new digital health partnerships since Nov. 14:

  • Sacramento, Calif.-based UC Davis Health entered into a partnership with venture capital firm General Catalyst. As part of the partnership, the health system will use General Catalyst's ecosystem of companies to drive artificial intelligence and digital health innovations in healthcare delivery, research, education and public service, as well as the medical center's ongoing transformational efforts in operations, care and outcomes.

  • Cooperstown, N.Y.-based Bassett Healthcare Network is partnering with the Andreessen Horowitz Bio + Health fund to bring digital care to rural New York patients. Additionally, the two organizations will collaborate to identify any unmet areas for digital health innovation.

  • Orlando (Fla.) Health entered into a partnership with digital health company Andor Health. The health system will install the company's ThinkAndor digital front door system. The system will provide patients with a single platform that can guide them to virtual urgent or primary care by an artificial intelligence assistant. The interactions between patients and AI assistants will also be integrated into Orlando Health's EHR system.

  • KidsX, a digital health children's hospital consortium including Boston Children's Hospital and Children's Hospital LA, is partnering with digital health company Redesign Health to launch a program bolstering pediatric digital health companies. The partnership, KidsX Build, will convene representatives from participating hospitals and companies to identify and develop innovative companies and products in pediatric digital health.

  • Reno, Nev.-based Renown Health has expanded its partnership with digital health platform Loyal to offer provider data management and physician search services to its health system. The platform will provide Renown patients with digital search results when seeking care, enterprise-level storage, and provider and location data management.
