Vantari Genetics, a clinical diagnostics laboratory, and Translational Software, a genomics-driven clinical decision support provider, will provide services to Phoenix-based Banner Alzheimer's Institute's GeneMatch registry, the companies announced Oct. 23.
The national GeneMatch program uses genetic testing information to recruit participants for Alzheimer's prevention studies. Under the agreement, Vantari Genetics and Translational Software will genotype volunteers interested in community-based research opportunities to help the institute select which participants are most appropriate for various studies.
The Banner Alzheimer's Institute, a program of Banner Health, will also analyze genomic and molecular data from genotype tests to understand the genetic variants of volunteers, including their genetic risk for developing Alzheimer's.
