James Noga, the former vice president and CIO of Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham, has been named to the advisory board of healthcare cybersecurity vendor Censinet.
"We are honored that Jim has joined the Censinet Advisory Board in support of our vision to take risk out of healthcare," Censinet CEO and founder Ed Gaudet said in a Dec. 5 company news release. "As a former CIO of one of the most prestigious and forward-thinking health systems in the world, Jim brings deep expertise and experience across the key strategic, clinical and technological risks facing today's health industry."
Mr. Noga served in the health IT executive role at Mass General Brigham from 2011 until his retirement in 2022. He started at Boston's Massachusetts General Hospital as director of clinical applications in 1990 before being named its CIO in the mid-1990s.
He joins several other current and former health system IT leaders on the company's advisory board, including Jigar Kadakia, the chief information security and privacy officer of Mass General Brigham; John Halamka, MD, president of Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Platform; and Aaron Miri, senior vice president and chief digital and information officer of Jacksonville, Fla.-based Baptist Health.
