Crystal Run Healthcare in Middletown, N.Y., told patients to expect longer wait times than usual amid a system interruption affecting some services, according to the medical group's website.
Mid Hudson News reported Nov. 3 that Crystal Run experienced a service disruption.
"We are working diligently to resolve these issues," the medical group wrote on its website Nov. 3. The announcement was still on the website Nov. 6 and recommended patients call 911 with an emergency.
The 15-location medical group was acquired by Optum in February. The multispecialty practice includes more than 400 physicians offering almost 50 specialties, including gynecology, ophthalmology, pain management and orthopedic surgery.
Optum provided the following statement on the disruption: "We are currently experiencing system interruption and are working to resolve this issue. We are committed to protecting our patients' information and maintaining the integrity of our information systems. We’re actively monitoring our systems to react and respond quickly to any situation. Continuity of care remains our core focus and patient care has not been impacted."
