New Orleans agencies shut down in cyberattack

Different agencies and services in New Orleans have been shut down due to a Dec. 13 cyberattack, which has not been confirmed as a ransomware attack, according to CNBC.

City officials are working with the FBI, Secret Service and National Guard to restore services. While it's unclear which services have been on lock down, emergency services such as 911 and the fire department are running.

Louisiana has been hit with various cyberattacks this year. Separate ransomware attacks in July and November caused the Medicare system and other agencies to temporarily shut down.

New Orleans officials have asked city employees to unplug their computers.
