The board of directors at Oceanside, Calif.-based Tri-City Medical Center has approved a 4 percent salary raise and a one-time 20 percent bonus to CEO Larry Anderson, according to a North County Times report.
The raise and bonus will move Mr. Anderson's total compensation in the prior fiscal year to more than $700,000, according to the report. His base salary comprised more than $535,000 of that total.
Four board members approved the raise, while three others were absent. Board member Larry Schallock said the group awarded the raise and bonus to Mr. Anderson because "the hospital team in general has clearly met the quality standard," according to the report. Mr. Schallock also said Mr. Anderson's salary is now comparable with other CEO salaries at similarly sized hospitals.
