Highest-Earning Healthcare Industry CEO's Compensation Tops $30M

Two CEOs from the healthcare industry fell in the top 10 CEO compensations in the country, according to the Wall Street Journal CEO Compensation Study conducted by management-consulting firm Hay Group.

The highest-earning healthcare industry CEOs, according to the report, were Marc N. Casper, CEO of Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Raymond Elliott J. Elliott, CEO of Boston Scientific. Mr. Casper earned $33,048,200 over the last fiscal year, while Mr. Elliott earned $32,102,500.

Other top-earning healthcare industry CEOs included:

• William C. Weldon, CEO of Johnson & Johnson, who earned $19,789,500 in the last fiscal year
• Miles D. White, CEO of Abbott Labs, who earned $18,728,200
• James M. Cornelius, CEO of Bristol-Myers Squibb, who earned $16,682,100
• Allen F. Wise, CEO of Coventry Health Care, who earned $16,496,500
• Ronald A. Williams, CEO of Aetna, who made $15,323,700
