10 states with the largest decreases to travel nurse pay

The average weekly travel nurse pay in January in the U.S. was $3,077, down 20.49 percent from $3,870 during the same month in 2022, according to a report from Vivian Health, a national healthcare hiring marketplace.

According to Vivian, these trends "reflect a continuation of travel nurse wage stabilization at lower, post-omicron rates. Nationally, the average weekly pay decreased month over month by just 3 percent — a big change from the dramatic swings in pay seen during COVID surges."

As of Feb. 1, there were 571,044 active RN travel jobs on the Vivian Health platform nationwide in the last seven days.
