81 Projects Added to CMS' Health Care Innovation Awards

CMS' Innovation Center has announced the final batch of recipients for the Health Care Innovation Awards, which recognize 81 projects nationwide.

The innovation awards fund projects designed to deliver high-quality medical care, enhance the healthcare workforce and lower costs of care.  The projects target issues ranging from innovative patient-centered cancer treatment to improving technology to reach rural and underserved communities.

The newly announced projects are in addition to the 26 announced last month.  There is now at least one HHS innovation project in every state, as well as in the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
