El Paso, Texas-based Providence Children's Hospital cut the ribbon Nov. 3 on a new $15 million neonatal intensive care unit.
The hospital broke ground on the project in October 2022. The hospital now offers a Level IV NICU with private suites and new technologies to care for sick infants, according to an October 2022 news release.
The 30-bed unit adds 21,000 square feet to the hospital, according to a Providence Children's press release provided to Becker's.
"Having a baby in the NICU can be an extremely stressful time for any parent," Providence Children's Hospital CEO Rob Anderson said in the news release. "Our goal is to offer a comfortable and soothing atmosphere for parents and families until they can take their little one home."
