Tennessee hospital launches $15M expansion

Lenoir City, Tenn.-based Fort Loudon Medical Center broke ground on a $15 million expansion that will add 26 new patient rooms, Longview News Journal reported Nov. 8.

The project is the hospital's first major renovation since it opened in 2003. The expansion, which has been planned for two years, increases the hospital's size by 19,000 square feet, according to a Nov. 3 Fort Loudon news release.

Construction is expected to wrap up in late spring 2025. The hospital is hiring for clinical and non-clinical roles to support the expansion.
