Anderson, S.C.-based AnMed Health is moving forward with plans to build a new standalone emergency room at its Piedmont campus, NBC12 reported Jan. 25.
The hospital has finished completing the certificate-of-need process to build the emergency room in an area the health system's CEO says has seen a growing number of patients.
After receiving final approval from the state registrar, the hospital construction will take 12 to 15 months.
