University Hospital in San Antonio is looking to hire construction companies owned by women, minorities and veterans to help build its women and children's tower, according to a Fox San Antonio report.
The tower, part of a $452 million expansion project, will house 179 beds, a 24-bassinet nursery and three heart catheterization labs. The hospital plans to eventually house 300 beds in the tower.
The health system invites any interested, registered small-business and minority-, women- and veteran-owned enterprises to come to an event June 29 at St. Philip's College San Antonio to discuss the project.
