Putnam (N.Y.) Hospital is reopening its maternity center after receiving a $500,000 grant from the state and two $250,000 philanthropic contributions for renovations, patch.com reported Jan. 31.
The hospital suspended maternity operations in March 2022 after CareMount, its delivery provider, informed Danbury, Conn.-based Nuvance Health that it would end its services at Putnam.
Along with the reopened maternity center, the hospital unveiled a renovated nursery staffed by clinicians from New York Children's Medical Provider Services.
