Lowell (Mass.) General Hospital received a $2.1 million grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The grant reimburses the hospital for the cost of overtime labor during the COVID-19 pandemic. Between September 2020 and 2021, a total of 847 employees incurred 32,922 overtime hours, according to a June 21 FEMA news release.
Lowell General Hospital is a part of Boston-based Tufts Medicine.
