Hospitals are using philanthropic donations to create new funds for innovation and residency programs.
Here are four philanthropic donations to hospitals Becker’s has covered since June 21:
- New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian received a $25 million gift from the W.P. Carey Foundation for the creation of a new residency program.
- Washington, D.C.-based Children’s National Hospital received a $96 million donation from an anonymous donor family for its brain tumor research and care programs.
- Cleveland-based University Hospitals received a $15 million donation to create a new fund focusing on pediatric health.
- Mountain View, Calif.-based El Camino Health used a donation from philanthropists Pamela and Edward Taft to launch a technological innovation fund.
