The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City has received a $10 million gift that will go toward benefiting children's medicine at the health system, according to a system news release.
The gift will specifically go toward creating endowed faculty positions, supporting research and staff excellence initiatives and funding support services for patients and their families.
The gift comes from Jerre and Mary Joy Stead, co-chairs of a major fundraising campaign for UI Health Care.
