Cleveland Clinic has announced plans for its Center for Personalized Healthcare, which will offer tools for providers to tailor care plans to the individual characteristics of each patient, according to a Clinic news release.
The center will provide medical staff with resources needed to create personalized plans based on patients' genetics, environmental exposures, cultures and beliefs. Specifically, in the first year, physicians will be supplied with additional resources to help them collect and analyze family medical histories of patients.
Kathryn Teng, MD, will lead the new center. Dr. Teng is a primary-care physician at the Clinic.
