Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associates and Florida Blue have announced an accountable care delivery model for patients in Brevard County, Fla.
Wuesthoff Medical Center-Melbourne (Fla.) and Wuesthoff Medical Center-Rockledge (Fla.), along with HMA's physicians, will be the providers in the new partnership.
"This partnership with Florida Blue is designed to ensure that employers and individuals receive value through improved health and lower costs," Alan Levine, senior vice president of health management and president of HMA's Florida Group of hospitals, said in the news release.
The partnership will serve as a platform for further cooperation between HMA and Florida Blue, including the possibility to build a clinically integrated network, according to the release.
