Patrick Cawley, MD. CEO of MUSC Health and Vice President for Health Affairs of the Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston). Dr. Cawley was promoted to CEO of Medical University of South Carolina Health and MUSC vice president for health affairs in January 2013. He previously served as CMO of MUSC Medical Center, responsible for the quality and safety of all patient care programs. Dr. Cawley led MUSC's transformation in quality and patient safety, which the University HealthSystem Consortium honored in 2007 and 2012 with the Rising Star award. He also previously led the Society of Hospital Medicine and maintains leadership roles with the American Hospital Association and South Carolina Hospital Association.
