The 3M Curos Disinfecting Port Protectors achieved a 99.99 percent reduction of six microbes often connected with a central line-associated bloodstream infection. The port protectors, which each hold a 70 percent isopropyl alcohol solution, are designed to disinfect needleless connectors, male luers and open female luers.
