Sanford USD Medical Center (Sioux Falls, S.D).Sanford Heart Hospital, a 205,000-square-foot facility, is attached to Sanford USD Medical Center. The heart hospital opened in 2012 and houses more than 250 physicians, nurses and support specialists dedicated to cardiac care. The hospital has 56 private patient rooms and six floors where physicians from the Sanford Cardiovascular Institute and Sanford Cardiac, Thoracic & Vascular Surgery practice. Sanford USD Medical Center received the American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline Gold Quality Achievement Award and Silver Quality Achievement Award in 2017.
