Good Samaritan Hospital (Cincinnati). Good Samaritan Hospital, part of Cincinnati-based TriHealth, was the first hospital in Cincinnati to offer aortic aneurysm repair with fenestrated stents and among the first in the U.S. to offer transcatheter aortic valve replacement. Clinicians at the TriHealth Heart Institute perform more than 650 heart surgeries annually and consistently beat the national benchmarks for time to treatment by 30 minutes. Good Samaritan Hospital launched its cardiac research efforts in the early 1970s. Today, the TriHealth Hatton Research Institute's cardiac and cardiothoracic/vascular research team oversees nearly a dozen clinical trials focused on improving cardiac care. Good Samaritan Hospital is a Blue Distinction Center+ for cardiac care and ranked No. 2 on CareChex's 2017 list of the best hospitals in Ohio for major cardiac surgery.
