Bellin Hospital (Green Bay, Wis.). Bellin Hospital surgeons performed the first open heart surgery at the hospital and opened a cardiac catheterization lab in 1972. Since then, the hospital has been a stalwart for heart and vascular care in Green Bay. The hospital has strengthened longstanding relationships with area cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons over the past decade, merging with Cardiology Associates of Bellin Health in 2011, and with Bellin Health Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery in 2013. Bellin Hospital boasts a 49-minute average door-to-balloon time for heart attack patients — nearly half of the 90 minute national standard recommended by the American Heart Association.
