University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers (Ann Arbor)
The University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers unveiled the $215 million University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center in 2007, which was renamed the Frankel Cardiovascular Center in 2013 in honor of the Samuel and Jean Frankel Foundation. The hospital earned a three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and is Blue Distinction Center+ for Cardiac Care. U.S. News & World Report ranked University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers as the No. 1 hospital in Michigan and No. 22 in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery in its 2016-17 rankings.
