JFK Medical Center | 100 Hospitals with Great Heart Programs 2015-16

JFK Medical Center (Atlantis, Fla.). JFK Medical Center is the No. 1 hospital in the nation for cardiac care, according to CareChex's 2015 rankings. The medical center is among the first hospitals in Florida to offer patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation an alternative to long-term warfarin medication with the WATCHMAN Implant, which closes the left atrial appendage in the heart to prevent harmful blood clots from the left atrial appendage from entering the blood stream and possibly causing a stroke. Each year, the hospital participates in more than 200 clinical trials. The hospital is designated as a Blue Distinction Center+ for Cardiac Care, and was one of Truven Analytics' 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals for 2015. The medical center was named one of the top 100 hospitals for cardiac care by Healthgrades in 2015, among other accolades.
