University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Ohio's only hospital dedicated to women's health is University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center's MacDonald Women's Hospital. The hospital features 93 licensed adult beds and 48 nursery bassinets. In 2015, physicians and specialists at the hospital delivered more than 4,000 babies and helped contribute to University Hospitals' nearly $49 million in charity care. The hospital also supports the University Hospital Breast Health Center, an American College of Radiology-designated Breast Center of Excellence, which aims to stay at the forefront of breast cancer treatment and screening through participation in advanced clinical trials and research. UH is the only health system in Northeast Ohio to offer tomosynthesis, a technology providing 3-D imaging of the breast. U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital's gynecology services 19th in the nation in 2017-18.
